Best Articles

Having officially begun my career as a music journalist by commencing an internship with Tone Deaf in August of 2016, I quickly became a prolific writer. Following the site’s acquisition by The Brag Media in January of 2017, I soon found myself writing articles for publications such as The BragThe Industry ObserverDon’t Bore Us, and Jplay.

During my time at The Brag Media, I took on the roles of Weekend Editor, Night and Weekend Writer, Staff Writer, and News Director before picking up the role of Editor at Rolling Stone Australia in November of 2019. As such, I soon became the most prolific writer in the company’s history, with a total of 6,845 articles credited to my name prior to my exit from The Brag Media in April of 2022.

Below, you’ll find handy links to a selection of what I’ve deemed to be some of my “best” articles from these various publications in chronological order. This arbitrary definition of “best” is solely up to my own discretion, so it may relate to a sense of pride I gained from writing the piece, the level of enjoyment I got from writing it, or just from general feedback I received that told me it was an enjoyable piece. Needless to say, there’s likely plenty of articles not listed here which might resonate with you more than those that are listed here.

Notably, I have not included feature interviews and live reviews on this specific page, and as such my favourite article of all-time (a feature interview with Melbourne’s Private Function), is not available in this list (but is coincidentally available via the link I just included 17 words ago).

For an extensive list of every article I’ve penned over the years, be sure to head along to the Portfolio page. Likewise, lists of my feature interviews and live reviews can also be accessed via the same page.
